"Gastroenterology procedure"

About: Hemel Hempstead Hospital

I waited one and a half weeks to get my urgent referral which I thought was pretty good. I was called on time, treated very well by staff, friendly everything done what you would have expected.

My procedure was started but could not be completed, a blockage was found in my intestine and the cameras could go no further than halfway. I was then told I would need to have a CT Scan to see what the blockage was and was told I would be contacted at home.

I am now waiting at home having been given an appointment again for one and a half weeks wait for a CT Scan,

I am in pain and cannot go to the toilet I have been left hanging in the system having to wait another one and a half weeks. It would be better to have be wheeled round to the CT Scan department for a same day procedure or at the very latest the next day.

So all went well at first.

Now unhappy waiting at home with no further advice in pain.
