"Amsxing nurse"

About: James Paget University Hospital

I went to this appointment trying to have a open mind.at the pain management clinic

Let me explain. I had a appointment with a different clinic who I was so upset with as they were not listening to me and I felt so let down. I came away from there crying, so the appointment I had today I was heat up before I even went in there. I was called on time and spoke to a lovely nurse. They had time to talk to me and explain what the other clinic didn't. Why I had the pain and how they could help even saying that they could maybe get me more support from other people. They didn't rush me. Gave me eye contact and explain the medication and what it does. . I came away understanding so much more than I did from the last appointment. This has given me back my confidence about hospitals X thank u

Response from James Paget University Hospital

Dear Tanya

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback.

I am so sorry to hear that one of your previous experiences was not positive and left you feeling upset and unsupported.

It is not clear whether this was at the James Paget Hospital or another organisation, but certainly if it was here, I would like to offer you the opportunity to contact me on the telephone number below so that I can look into this in more detail.

I am, however, pleased to learn that your recent visit to the pain clinic has been a positive experience and that you received the time, explanation and support you required.

I will share your comments with the teams involved, who I am sure will be pleased to learn that they were able to contribute to an improved experience.

Kind Regards

Amanda Hood
