Dear Polar Expess,

Many apologies - it is never acceptable for our staff to breach confidentiality and I am really sorry that your son in law overheard two nurses talking carelessly in outpatients in this way. I would be keen to follow this up and discuss it with the staff involved so that they can reflect on their behaviour and the impact for patients in their care.

It would be very helpful if your son in law would get in touch privately to share his name, DOB and date and time of his visit so that we can correctly identify who was on duty. My email is Annie.laverty@nhct.nhs .

Many thanks for taking the time to bring this to our attention - we are very grateful for all feedback that enables us to improve.

Hope to hear from you soon,

Annie
