What could be improved

the department i attended with a relative was A & E the waiting area was fithy with dirt on the floors and peoples black head marks on the wall suggesting that the unit was not cleaned very often or thoroughly. There was no hand sanitisers available quite surprising as parts of the hospital had recently been closed to visitors due to infection outbreaks. The waiting time to be seen was almost 4 hours which considering there were no other patients waiting and the back emergency room did not seem at all busy was suprising. The attitude of some staff memebers seemed dismissive and sometimes discriminatory although other staff were reasonably helpful. Overall the visit was disconcerting making me hope that nobody I cared for would need serious emergency treatment in this unit as it was dirty and not very efficient.
