"Understaffed & affecting patient safety"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

Late October last year my sons ENT consultant agreed that a third operation was needed in Jan/Feb of this year. It's now Mid March. I have found out through my own enquiries his consultant has left, and the remaining consultant has so many patients waiting times may be up to a year. PALS can only tell me what I already know, secretaries ignore calls and the waiting list officer is pleasant but ultimately can't help. My GP has become involved and their calls have been ignored even trying to contact senior staff. I have no future appointments for ENT or Audiology which in itself is worrying and I feel utterly let down. All the while the disease continues to grow silently inside my sons head and the lining of his brain. I guess this doesn't warrant urgent treatment. Please WH do something/ make contact with me or the GP as ultimately this could affect my sons health significantly.
