I was taken to A&E as a result of a fall down stairs . I was met by the trauma team who immediately set to work to ensure that I had no major injuries. They introduced themselves to me and explained at each step what they were doing to me. They were courteous and kind and extremely proficient. Within minutes of my assessment I was taken for a ct scan and then to Xray. My husband was also well looked after and given tea and information while he waited.Within a few hours with no broken bones I was able to go home. I cannot fault anyone within the team from nurse to radiographer to Dr .I noticed that the cleaners were cleaning whilst I was there and I was also given a sandwich to eat at lunch time. I am a nurse of many years and this was the first time I had been in A&E as a patient.I cannot fault the care given it was absolutely fantastic.
