"3 days and still no idea."

About: Frimley Park Hospital (Frimley)

I was admitted to FPH late Wednesday night. With severe abdominal / lower quadrant pain. I was first met by very friendly, very helpful staff. Staff that proceeded to administer necessary tests and moving me to a comfortable ward. Sadly, this ward is where I have been left. For well over 48 hours now, without any explanation of what they are testing for, what implications this may have to my future health or how best to deal with this pain. I have received a CT scan and an ultrasound, 42 hours ago these were carried out, and still I am told they have no results. The worst part is not knowing, it is far from medical negligence, it is simply bedside manner. I am left alone all day every day, being told " I'm unable to answer that, sorry, the next doctor comes on shift in an hour, they'll be able to tell you more". Then, for the past two nights, I have been woken at exactly 2am, to be asked personal questions, and this morning, to have more bloods taken. It's all very confusing, and they've pushed me to a point of feeling worse, and with no hope of finding out the root cause of this.

I understand medicine is ever so complicated, and my condition is so broad, I may never know. I just ask to be kept better informed, and perhaps find results within a 48 hour window!

Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback.

I'm very sorry to read that you haven't been kept informed, and that you've been woken up in the night.

I would be really grateful if you could talk directly to the ward sister today or contact our PALs team so they can investigate what has happened and help you.

You can email them on palsfrimleypark@fhft.nhs.uk or ring them on 01276 526530

Thanks for raising your concerns

Kind Regards

Claire Marshall
