"My journey to Addenbrookes"

About: Addenbrooke's Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

Having read another patient's story about how distressing it was for him not to have a procedure because he was late due to traffic congestion on his 30 mile journey to Addenbrookes, may I say that as one that makes a 70 mile journey from Sleaford I have never been late purely because I used the guided busway service for the final 20 miles of the trip which avoided all the congestion and ensured a timely arrival for day case prostate surgery and earlier MRI.

A little bit of research into travel options can save you from getting distressed and the staff from having to juggle appointments to fit you in.

Finally, I have found all the staff to be friendly and professional in their approach to sometimes difficult situations and particularly when faced with irate patients.
