"Concerns about podiatry at Witham Health centre"

About: Leicestershire and Lincolnshire

(as the patient),

I phoned for an appointment at Witham Health Centre, and was given one for early March, about a 3 week wait, which I thought was acceptable. As a Diabetic I explained that I had a very painful corn. I attended, looking forward to some relief from the pain, but was disappointed that the podiatrist just took off the hard skin on the corn, leaving it still very sore.

I have since seen a private practitioner who removed the corn very easily giving me relief from the pain. My point is why was this not done before by the NHS, as I feel that the appointment was a complete waste of time for me, and a waste of money for the NHS.
