"Concerns about my wife's care"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital / Cardiology

(as a relative),

My late wife was pumped with Diamorphine and Midazalam so she was virtually unconscious all the time on CCU. She was transferred to Ward B4, where no food no water or medication that she needed was given. I believe that no nurse ever went near the bed in over 2 days, despite hospital records saying that they checked her every 1 hour.

From what I saw, lots of nurses gathered in the nurses room at the back of the nurses station. They often seemed to be laughing and joking and sending and receiving texts, as well as smoking electronic cigarettes. When I complained, I felt they built a wall to block every question I asked.

I was passed to around 6 complaints people, who I feel have not fully looked into my complaints.
