About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Accident and emergency Walk in Centre - Sidwell Street

(as a carer),

I had a v poorly person with Tonsillitis, he went to this walk in centre and was given antibiotics. He was then told that he could not be treated there again as the service was for real emergencies i.e brokenbones!

I thought the idea of these centres was to help out the emergency services for non medical emergencies?

Anyway after 3 days of being ill I rang them as there was no sign of improvement, (he couldn't swallow the pills ) or even his own spit! And I was told he couldn't now be seen unless he was registered with a GP.

I rang the Sidwell Street Centre and they were amazing! So dreadful service, dreadful advice, absolutely no time, support or information given. I wouldn't recommend to anyone! ! ! !
