In late February, I tripped and fell in a car park. I used my mobile to call an ambulance and was admitted to Ward L37 with a view to undergoing a full replacement of my left hip next day.
I needed no persuasion to have a spinal anaesthetic, and I can only give my personal experience, which is, I found the whole procedure no worse than a tooth extraction!
No thanks or words of praise can adequately convey my gratitude and appreciation to everyone involved in my treatment, from the ambulance service, to the porters, not forgetting the cleaners and tea ladies, and of course the superb nursing and medical staff. My stay was absolutely faultless. I was discharged in early March and doing well.
"I found the whole procedure no worse than a tooth extraction!"
