"painfull visit"

About: Ripley Hospital

on having severe pain in my right leg [due to old injury, metal pins in thigh bone] cant walk more than five steps when leg gets severe pains and must stop! cant go on [2 weeks to see doc] in desperation i go to ripley, only to be told that i would recieve no x-ray no treatment, might have a look at it,but you will have to wait hours and to consider going home whilst waiting, I felt let down by the condecending nurse, who would have loved to cut to the chase and say 'just go home' Any way i decided to wait, incredibly, not one patient was seen for half an hour, lots of people walking about with bits of paper, but not one person went through those doors! The nurse got her own way,i went home.DEVERSTATED.

I am sorry to hear of your poor experience when trying to access treatment at Ripley Minor Injury Unit.

We are very concerned to hear them.

Our promise to all patients is that you will always feel welcome and valued and that your care meets your individual needs.

We are sorry that this wasn't your experience when you used our service. We are very keen to hear more from you and would be very grateful if you would contact the Patient Experience Team ( 01773 525119) to discuss what happened in more detail. We can then address this with the service and look at what needs to be improved. We can also discuss whether you want to make a complaint. I look forward to hearing from you.

Lisa Hallam, Patient Support Officer, Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Trust
