"I had a biopsy on the 29 December ..."

About: Heartlands Hospital

(as the patient),

What could be improved

I had a biopsy on the 29 December for Prostrate problems and given an envelope for my Doctor. The envelope contained no letter. I had the results on the 15 January 2010 at a meeting in Clinic 1 and told that I needed to take finasteride and alfuzsin and it would be arranged through my doctor. I received a letter on the 20 January saying I had an appointmnt in July 2010. I have tried to get my Doctor to give me the tablets which I have been told to take, but they have not received any notification from the Hospital. I phoned the hospital on the 26 January asking about my letter to the Doctor and was told it would be faxed through to my doctor. I checked with my doctor on the 29 January but nothing has come through. I think that yor priorities are wrong as I believe it is more important for me to start my medication than be told about my next appointment in July.
