What could be improved
I visited St Albans Hospital simply to collect new batteries for my hearing aid. I went to main reception and the receptionist on duty was abrupt/verging on rude. I was under the impression that old batteries were re-cycled. They told me to get rid of them myself and when I questioned this they were very dismissive, and ignored my query. I then asked if they needed to record in my booklet that I had been given the batteries. Again, they were very dismissive but eventually recorded it and said something to the effect of "I hope that makes you happy!" which I thought was disrespectful.
Is this the sort of person to put on main reception?
