"Very disappointing service"

About: John Radcliffe Hospital

I would rate the JR hospital below zero if possible. I had the most horrible service on earth.

70% of the midwives were rude, except for one or two.

The anaesthetic doctor oversedated during c section and I could not even see my baby until after four hours. And after all that I had miserable treatment in the observation unit, where nobody had time for anything. I had no skin to skin contact with my baby, that was how amazing the staff were. After all the torture i was transferred to level 5 and that was the worse of all. The midwives would not come and help after ringing the buzzer a million times. And then when asked for help, the midwife was asking me to get up and do my things with the catheter still attached and it was still day 1. I have never seen anything like that before. Painkillers were no provided on time. Mostly rude staff especially at night times.

Would never recommend the hospital to anyone. Scared of planning a second baby the way the hospital treated me. I had no sleep in the hospital and the stress carried on even after returning home and very much led me to postnatal depression. Was in tears every night thinking about what they have done to me during my c section and couldnt see my baby for such a long time.

I am so sad now writing this review. This review is written in pain i went through at the hospital.
