"Right Femoral Fracture"

About: Peterborough City Hospital

I was admitted to Peterborough City Hospital following a fall at home. An X Ray revealed I had fractured my right femur. Following surgery to insert a Targon retrograde femoral Intramedullary nail I remained in hospital for seven days. The nursing care was excellent and the physiotherapy team assisted me to walk up steps in readiness for leaving hospital. I would like to thank my Consultant, the nursing staff and physiotherapy team for their excellent care. Also the East of England Ambulance Paramedic who came to my home following my accident and the team that transported me to Accident and Emergency. I am now recovering at home. The physiotherapist from the Rehabilitation Service has visited regularly to ensure I continue to progress and expect to make a full recovery. I am sincerely grateful for our splendid

National Health Service in Peterborough.
