"A and E"

About: Royal Surrey County Hospital

Arrived at about 2.00pm on a Sunday with my son intial assesment was quick, staff were pleasant and helpful when we approached them and when they came to our room, however we left at about 7.45 with no confirmation that the ct scan ( after Xrays ) had pinpointed any issues, the radiologist and doctor who were delaing with our case seemed to have gone home.

The very pleasant doctor who took up our case phoned at about 9.15 to confirm there was no issue with my son's neck.

Had we have waited to find this out we would have been in a and e for 7 hours, as it was we felt 5 1/2 hours was enough he was not in pain and was bored and hungry.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, which is always gratefully received. Here at Royal Surrey County Hospital we always strive to provide the best care anywhere and I am disappointed that we appear not to have achieved that. In order for us to investigate this further, please could you email rsc-tr.communications@nhs.net.

In the meantime, all your comments have been passed onto the relevant departments. Once again, thank you for taking the time to bring this issue to our attention.
