"Delayed access to an MRI scan and treatment"

About: Balfour Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as a volunteer/advocate),

Patient of NHS Orkney who had to wait many weeks for a MRI scan for a dislocated shoulder, despite being urgently referred has decided to raise a formal complaint about the matter as she feels her injury has been compounded by the delay in diagnostics and treatment. She has decided to share her story, in the hope that this will not happen to anyone else.
