I am currently 38 weeks pregnant, so far it has been a very stressful pregnancy both physical and mentally
I have been admitted to the maternity triage ward about 4 times due to the amount of pain I have been suffering in my abdominal due to the very painful braxton hicks, making me think I was in labor, I have very severe spd as well
A few of the times I have been there I have been treated by some of the loveliest midwifes that have genuinely cared about my pain and have done everything possible to help me and made me feel like nothing was too much
But on the few occasions I feel like the level of care I have received just hasn't been good enough. The lack of respect for my pain by some midwifes have made me feel like the pain is all in my head and I have made it up for attention.
Which has been very upsetting and made me worried about going back,
When I was in last I got admitted to the antenatal ward as they wanted to do more tests on me, my stay was uncomfortable and scary and made me feel very vunerable
The time I was in hospital was also very hard for my partner as he had to leave me in pain.
I think the day time staff are far more caring than the night staff,
The hospital itself was lovely and clean
Most of the midwifes that work there are a credit to the hospital
