About: Whipps Cross University Hospital

An unfortunate accident brought me by ambulance to Whipps Cross Hospital on a Saturday morning. From beginning to end, I was treated excellently by the team there.

After a morning in A&E filled with pain medication, x-rays and being knocked out to put my shoulder back into place, I was sent home.

Upon later review of my x-rays, Orthopedics contacted me to schedule an immediate CT scan. The next day I was told that surgery was required. Within 48 hours, I was in theatre for surgery.

It is a pity that I am not allowed to mention anyone at Whipps Cross by name in this feedback. I would have liked to point out the names of several nurses who efficiently and kindly helped me to manage my pain and recovery after the surgery.

I wish that I could tell you the name of the wonderful physiotherapist who explained clearly to me how to effectively wear my sling to enable maximum stability for healing.

I would have loved to let you know who my surgeon was… a person whose professional, yet friendly, demeanor made me feel secure and informed about the surgery and what recovery would entail.

Many wonderful members of staff at Whipps Cross helped me make the best of the situation I was in. I am extremely grateful to them. Thank you.
