"Baby was born in Royal London and then..."

About: Newham General Hospital

So my baby was born almost 18 months ago in Royal London and they then transferred her into our borough which is newham General and on the day the Matron at barking was refusing to accept our baby and we could hear is as they were disagreeing take over from the nurse that was transferring our premature baby to newham and on day two grand mum was treated so badly she cried how she was treated without dignity and respect infront of other patients, when about to get discharged I could see the nurses were concerned that I would be feedback img so they stood near the forms so that we couldn't see it, they weren't aware that both of us were of medical background. Very bad management from them, staffs impolite and using phones infront of me while we were seeing our baby. It took me a while to complain as I was not sure should I do it or not but since my background is on medical I want that to change

We are sorry to read of your care and treatment following the birth of your baby. All patients and their families should be treated with dignity and respect during their time with us. All of our patients should also be given the opportunity and be encouraged to feedback honestly on their experience by our staff. We apologise if you felt that this did not happen.

Your feedback is really important to us and we have sent this over to the maternity team so that they are able make improvements to the service where possible.

Kind regards

Barts Health NHS Trust
