"Awful aftercare"

About: Burnley General Hospital

Had a c section in December. May I stress that the staff ei the theatre staff and anaesthetist were absolutely fabulous, couldn't fault them. The midwives and hca on ward were appalling. Only met one nice midwife and one nice hca. I received no help with anything after the section and was only given paracetamol afterwards. Was begging to go home same day. Was left in an appalling condition,without going into details had to get my mum to see to my personal care, left as soon as I could, again without help, hobbling to the exit.

I am really pleased the theatre staff and anaesthetist were fabulous, but really sorry that this was not the case on the ward.
