I was diagnosed with renal failure when I was a teenager. I was on dialysis for years. I had mental health problems and staff supported me not only with my physical illness but my mental ill health too. They made time for me and listened to me, talk about my childhood trauma. They introduced me to meditation and done this with me. I still attend renal unit and staff are still fantastic. They work well together as a team and each member of staff gives 100 per cent to their job, both in dialysis units and in ward 1 at Monkland's Hospital. I honestly don't know where id be without all staff in there. There is no words that I can say that will thank them enough throughout my 16 years of being a renal patient.
