What I liked
My father who is 70 had some sort of attack whilst I was driving him from Rutland to St Albans for Xmas (24th Dec). A Paramedic came after 40 mins and was very helpful as I thought my dad was going to die. He thought my dad had - had a stroke. An abulance was called and he was taken to Peterborough A & E and they were informed accordingly. I had told them that my dad had a history of epilepsy, however, he had not had a fit in over 30 years and both the Paramedic & Ambulance crew throught he had had a stroke. They asked my dad (who was exceptionally confused & crying) a few questions. Did he know what month it was etc, he got the month right but the year wrong. After hours of waiting the Dr came over and said he had had an epileptic fit but I knew this was NOT the case as I had seen him have them when I was younger and he never wet himself or bit on his tongue - I new they were wrong. They said I should just take him home and keep an eye on him. Well I did just that. He was unwell Christmas Day & Boxing day and I took him to Watford General Hospital who discovered after they had given him a CT Scan, that infact he had had 2 STROKES!!!!
Chief Executive my letter is on its way to you - my father could have died due to your staff's absolute lack of care. By the way, I had my 13yr old son in the car with me when this happened not a good thing for anyone to see especially a child.
What could be improved
They could have given him a CT Scan but no, all they were interested in is "what they were doing Christmas Eve etc which to them was more important!!!
"My father who is 70 had some sort ..."
