What I liked
The staff on the early pregnancy unit were kind.
What could be improved
The inexperienced doctor who came to see me after my misscarriage had been identiifed had clearly not read my notes and offered inappropriate advice for a woman of my age and history. More care should be taken about reading notes before entering into these . Also have to walk past a line of pregnat women whilst going to theatre for an ERPC to remove the miscarriage was insensitive to say the least.
Anything else?
The care was mixed. I was left waiting for 6 hours with no information in freezing room for my erpc. I had to walk past a line of pregnant women to go for this procedure. The theatre staff were arguing about who would stay late due to staff shortgages when I came round. The doctor who discharged me was disinterested and did not give me any discharge or after care information. I wasasked if I had any questions as they was walking out of the room. A complete lack of empathy. The nurses who looked after me after the procedure were kind and helpful though.
