About: Kingston Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

Ifelt I had to write about my visit to the Sycamore Ward for a 3rd operation following cancer. The nurses were wonderful, overworked (3 nurses 66 patients) but cheerful and dedicated. Apart from usual patients there was an elderly patient, 99yrs who was given the very best attention at all times.

I do feel that one nurse should be singled out for a very big thank you, she is dedicated, concencious and on the ball.

A Very BIG THANK YOU to all of you working on the Sycamore Ward night and day.

What could be improved

Night shift sometimes think that they are able to make noise and do not consider the patients trying to sleep one night I was awake till 1.00am with nurses/staff shouting loudly on the reception desk near to Sycamore Ward.

They can talk quietly, as one nurse I spoke to said she has been branded as anti social because she believes in not talking whilst on night shift, perhaps others should take a sheet out of her book.

Anything else?

I would like to say a hugh thankyou to the consultant and Kingston Hospital for all the care and dedication they have shown to me whilst I have gone down the weary road of Cancer. I am a survivor but that is thanks to everyone at Kingston Hospital and the consultants

THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH.
