"Failure of the appointments system"

About: King's College Hospital (Denmark Hill)

(as the patient),

I was sent instructions by my GP for making an appointment at Kings. When I called up I was told they were unable to do it!

What a waste of time - why send out this ridiculous procedure if it cannot be used to make appointments? I wasted at least 20 mins being on hold only to be told "computer says no".

So my care is now being delayed because I have to write back to my GP, explain that the system does not work and ask the Gp to make the appointment - when it could just have been done this way in the beginning.
