"Lack of gynaecological treatment"

About: Warrington Hospital / Gynaecology

(as a relative),

I am a severely disabled lady in my 80s. I have been suffering from severe haemorrhaging for the last YEAR. I have had SIX scans of my womb in the last year. No one is in charge of my case. I am continually sent back for more scans. I am never offered any TREATMENT. I continue to suffer severe from haemorrhages. My life is unbearable.

Sorry to hear about the problems you have been having. If you can contact us via our patient advice and liaison service we can talk to you about your case and then liaise with staff so we can answer any queries you have or expedite any further appointments that you need. You can contact the PALS team via pals@whh.nhs.uk and we'd be happy to chat.

Re: your suggestion I contact PALS. And the same suggestion from Codrina and her team........ An e mail was sent PALS on 26th feb. no one acknowledged the email. PALS telephoned me only after a letter was sent a week later on 7th March. The only thing they told me was that I had had a clinic appointment at 10.50 on the same morning that I had my 6th scan on march 4th. I told her I had never received notification about this 10.50 appointment. When I asked the doctor who did the scan "what happens next" he said "you will have to come back another time." Was there nothing in my notes about this appointment? He obviously saw nothing about any clinic appointment.

I had asked three questions in my letter to PALS - none of which the officer answered when they phoned me. I have written to the Gynae dept asking for a clinic appointment AND I have tried to book an appointment via your web site. I am 84 years old, severely physically disabled, and I continue to suffer the severe womb haemorrhaging.

I have now had 6 scans in the last 10 months but NO offer of any treatment. I am in despair. My life is unbearable.
