"Disgusting"

About: Altrincham General Hospital

Arrived at quarter past seven in the evening on a Monday in complete agony to be told there were enough bookings for the night. Didn't even ask what was wrong, pathetic. Bypass this place if you are injured and just go to Wythenshawe or Trafford general as the staff at Altrincham obviously only care about getting out early.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to learn that your experience of Altrincham Minor Injuries Unit was not as positive as we would hope.

In response to your comment, we can clarify that the last patient is booked in to be seen 30 minutes prior to the Minor Injuries Unit closing time. This is to ensure that all remaining patients can be assessed and treated in a safe and efficient manner and to ensure that all daily health, safety and drug checks can be completed before the unit closes.

The Unit Manager would assure you that staff in the Minor Injuries Unit take patient care very seriously and endeavour to deliver a safe and professional service at all times. We are sorry that your experience of the service did not meet your expectations on this occasion.

It is difficult to respond to all the posts in a full way often because of a lack of detailed information, therefore if you would like to discuss this with us in more detail, please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 0161 276 8686 or by e-mailing pals@cmft.nhs.uk
