What I liked

I was a day patient in the surgical unit. The whole process was very efficient. The nurses were helpful, approachable and sympatheitic. The doctors and the anaethetists were very efficient. The whole experience was very positive.

What could be improved

Perhaps the pre-surgical paperwork - I had to ask what the post operative protocols were and how long I would be expected to be off work. I was also not informed that I would need a pre-assessment appointment which also took me away from my work. All of this pre-operative information would have helped to plan my absence from work.
