"Cant get through on Phone to Locala"

(as the patient),

I have been trying to get through to the podiatry service to book an appointment but cannot get through. I’ve tried at all times of the day – it says it is a 24 hour line so have tried at 5: 30am when I get up for work, during various times of the day and 11: 30 pm on Sunday. Surely there cannot be so many people all trying to get through at extreme times? In desperation I asked my GP Surgery to try, they could not get through either, they tried for two days. To add to the frustration a letter dated 4th Feb was not received until 10th Feb and this has eaten into the three weeks’ timescale I have for making my appointment or being taken off the system, presumably I then Have to go through and have a new referral from my GP, wasting their time and resources and further delaying my treatment.

I am very sorry you are having problems getting through on our phone line. We are working hard to get the situation sorted out. If you still unable to get through within the next 24 hours please contact me direct and I will do what I can to get your appointment confirmed.

In future you shouldn't need to call the phone line to make your appointments. At your next appointment you will be able to book your next session direct with the podiatrist.

Once again, I apologise for the inconvenience this has caused you.
