"Staff are very understanding, non-judgemental"

About: One Recovery Bucks

(as a service user),

Staff are very understanding, non-judgemental. I think they should make a medication with no withdrawal symptoms. I have been on methadone for a few years and wanted to kill myself due to withdrawal pains – I have felt embarrassed due to my addiction and upset. However, after our one to one I have come out feeling good. I would like to thank Mary and Caroline.

Thank you for your honest feedback. It is good hear you have felt understood and not judged whist accessing STARS. Addiction and Recovery can be different for each individual, what is important is you keep talking to staff about how you feel and physically and mentally. Keep taking your recovery a day at a time and access all STARS have to offer.

I will ensure Mary and Caroline receive your kind words. All the best. Tracy
