I attended the Orthopaedic day case unit on the 13th February for an operation on my shoulder.
From the time of my arrival in the morning until I left in the afternoon was faultless.
I was some what supprised to be shown to my own individual waiting room which was spotlessly clean and equipped with a television and various magazines.
The staff were all friendly and kept me informed of my expected waiting time.
I would like to make special mention of the Orthopaedic Practitioner who was fantastic, he took the time to fully explain to me what my diagnosis involved and what the operation would involve. They also fully explained to me other options which may be neccessary once the operation was underway. Their manner certainly put me at ease and was much appreciated. Then they came to see me after the operation to ask me how I was feeling and to explain to me what had been done during the opertion. I found this personal attention to be absolutely amazing in such a busy unit and as the title of this review says 'A credit to te NHS'.
