After becoming increasingly unwell I was referred by the go to raigmore neurology, I waited from the 4 months for an appointment then got in touch and a letter then arrived with an appointment the same week, I understand how stretched the service is and although I was unable to work and deal with day to day tasks I am still understanding and patient.
I was then seen in November with a scan in December then told I would be seen In a few weeks for results, nothing came so 3 months later my gp looked into it and said the results of the scan were on her system and told me the neurologist was consulting someone else and for me to wait a few weeks then get in touch with them again and that when I go back to talk through new symptoms that I was having.
Patiently I waited then this week called the department to be told that I am waiting for an appointment that doesn't exist. The go results were the final results and I am not on the system to go back to the neurologist and that's it.
I feel completely abandoned, I'm a few days away from losing my business, I'm only in my 30's and can't currently even walk my own dog to the end of the road and feel so upset that Im not even going back to the neurologist and have to start all over again if I wish to.
I really hoped that if what they initially tested for came back clear I would still get to talk directly to him to see what else could be done to return me back to my normal life of being fit and active, instead I now feel like I've had a giant cross put across me and into a filing cabinet.
I have huge respect for your staff I just wish instead of sitting for 3 months waiting for results I'd have known back then there wasn't going to be any and accept that there will be no resolve.
