"Maxillo Facial day surgery"

About: Wythenshawe Hospital

My son has been involved with wythenshawe since September when he was admitted through A&E following serious injury in a RTA.

His latest appointment was on 29/02/2016 as a day patient with the Maxillo facial team. Yet again the level of care he received was second to none. The admissions nurse, was lovely. My son saw the consultant surgeon prior to going down for surgery and had the procedure fully explained. A quite lovely anesthetist came and was very reassuring to both my son and myself that all would be well. They went over and above to calm us in an unsettling situation, they even rang me as soon as my son was out of theatre to say all was ok. Many thanks to them especially.

Yet again an excellent process from beginning to end.

Only slight niggle is discharge being delayed from the day ward due to waiting for medicines to come up from the pharmacy but we apreciate it's a very busy department.

Just impatience and wanting to get home after a busy, worrying day!!!
