"Great care for Breast Screening"

I had been called for breast screening at Shaw Heath. I have had regular screening since 2004 so knew what to expect. only this time after reading the NHS breast screening Helping you decide booklet I had some concerns and was considering cancelling my appointment.

However I decided to take up the offer in my appointment letter to phone the breast screening unit. my call was answered promptly and I spoke to Miriam. Miriam was so lovely and patient with me and spoke to me in words I could understand, no jargon or medical terms. She was in no rush to get me off the phone and was very reassuring and I was able to make my decision as to whether or not to go ahead.

I did attend the screening and the radiographer Sharon was very kind and approachable and made the screening less daunting. Please can you pass on my compliments to their respective managers. I think the NHS gets too much negative comments and I would like to give praise.
