The care in this ward is not good my dad had a fall went through a&e and ended up admitted to ward 6.
I saw my Dad the night he was admitted he a graze on each of his elbows and a slight cut to head. The following day I turn up at hospital to find him with a big bloodied plaster on his elbow. When I asked him what happened he said I fell trying to get off bed to go toilet.
The nurse came over and shouted at him next time I'll leave you there. 2 days later he had septic Arthritis in his elbow from the cut he got at the hospital. The following day he was admitted into intensive care and needed surgery to remove the poisoning from the elbow. By now he's unable to speak to us and didn't even look like he knew we was there.
The staff in ICU are amazing they looked after him and got him back to some kind of normality obviously still confused from infection but all things going in right direction after 5 days in icu he was admitted back to ward 6 after 3 days of being back in ward 6 it's like he's going backwards again.
They are not helping as we have asked for a transfer to another hospital because he's not happy here and it's delaying his healing process.
I wish he was still in icu because he'd probably be better by now if he was.
If someone is scared of where they are being treated they should be able to be transferred to some where they feel safe!
