What I liked

My husband was recently a patient in Eastbourne DGH. We were both very impressed by the caring, professional and kind treatment he received from nurses and doctors in A&E (on a very busy night) and on the day care unit, where he spent the night, as no other beds were available. As a nurse myself, I appreciate the particular difficulties involved in opening a ward temporarily - all patients new to staff, many acutely ill, many staff new to each other. Nevertheless, his care was excellent, and I would like to thank the staff in A&E, in XRay and on the Day Care Unit on that day.
