"Colonoscopy Examination"

About: Diana, Princess Of Wales Hospital

I was met at reception by a very kind nurse who introduced themselves by name and asked what I liked to be called.

The nurse led me to a private room in which to get changed into a hospital gown and modesty shorts (What a brilliant idea) the nurse then explained the procedure and asked if I had any questions, at all times the nurse was very respectful and pleasant.

I was late led into the examination room and the three staff in there did everything possible to put me at my ease.

I must say they were very caring in the way they carried out the exam even talking to me as a distraction technique, I can't say enough good about them.

Clearly they enjoy their job and it shows it was a very happy department.

There was no need to take any of the pain relief that was offered as the procedure was carried out carefully by the doctor pain free.

I was then taken into recovery and well looked after.

The staff were all brilliant.

Well done!

Hi Dave, thank you for taking the time to share your views on our hospital, it's always lovely to hear from patients who've had a positive experience. The team do a great job of putting patients at ease and ensuring procedures are conducted with as much dignity as possible. Your kind words have been shared with the team.

Best regards,
