"world class service"

About: Lincoln County Hospital

I have very recent experience of Lincoln and Grantham hospitals centred on the Urology dept, visiting haematology, CT scan, cystology, hearing aid clinic and Clayton Ward following surgery. At all times staff were simply brilliant. I was treated with respect and courtesy. I was told exactly what was happening and invited to ask questions if I had any. I felt at ease and confident in the staff who's professionalism was balanced with friendliness.

The process of admission through to surgery in theatre involved some waiting which was clearly a necessity as there were other patients ( some of whom complained of the delays )

On Clayton ward I was made to fell welcome and valued, my comfort and care were important to the staff. The person making the tea made me the best Horlicks I have had in a long while; the nurses regularly and frequently asked if I was in any pain or needed anything and then provided it. The patience and caring of staff was outstanding. Some other patients were so demanding and unreasonable towards staff who they treated as servants with please and thank you being alien to them. Whilst people may be disorientated, worried and / or in pain being as rude as they were is inexcusable.

My experience has been very positive, My serious illness is no where near as devastating as it could have been without the world class service I have received.

My experience of Lincoln and Grantham make me a fan of the NHS
