About: Birmingham Midland Eye Centre (Bmec)

I experienced a partial loss of vision in my left eye.

I arrived at the BMEC early and it opened at the advertised time.

A number of people were waiting but I was quickly through initial triage and told I would be seen that day.

After only a short wait I saw a nurse practitioner who took details of my problem and prepared me for further examination.

A further short wait and I was examined by a doctor who diagnosed the problem quickly, explained to me its significance and organised a couple of further tests and a fast-track to the relevant clinic for follow ups.

Throughout, I was treated with courtesy and professionalism and it is difficult to imagine how the service I received could have been better.
