"Outpatient and day surgery"

I have recently been cared for by the outpatient gynaecology team and subsequently underwent tests under anaesthetic in the day patient unit.

The team were at all times caring, companionate and sympathetic to my concerns and fears.

The staff in the outpatient Hysteroscopy team were wonderful and their "verbal anaesthesia" worked a treat at keeping me calm.

As I was due to go on holiday shortly after my problem arose, the staff went out of their way to accommodate my appointments and even called me at home as soon as my results were available to reassure me.

I would have no hesitation in recommending the unit to my friends and family, and especially my daughter. I can't think of any way it could have been better. A very difficult and stressful time was made much easier by the wonderful staff, both doctors nurses and administrators.
