About: Wishaw General Hospital / Day Surgery

Having a procedure at Day Surgery, I had first to see the staff at the Womens Health Unit and then on to Day Surgery. The staff at every stage were attentive and caring. Even in witnessing interaction with other patients, all the staff from reception to nurses and consultants spoke with respect and listened to what the patients were saying.

Dr McLellan and Dr Raj (sorry I can't remember his last name) were gentle and made me feel welcome and cared for during what could have been a difficult experience. The nursing staff were professional and considerate and made sure I was comfortable. I am really grateful to the staff for making my experience there such a positive one. Thank you! (My only negative experience was when the kitchen took over 2 hours and 4 phone calls to deliver a gluten free sandwich. It was delicious when I got it though! )

Thank you for posting your comments I am pleased that you feel the staff were attentive and caring and listened to you and treated you with respect at what must have been an extremely difficult time for you.

I will pass on your comments to all the staff concerned they will be delighted you found them professional and considerate making your experience positive.

I am sorry that it took so long to get a gluten free sandwich I will speak to our catering department to see what happened in this instance I am glad it tasted good when you eventually did receive it.
