"Worst service."

About: John Radcliffe Hospital

Went to the ent due to slight hearing loss and a burst ear drum with a lot of pain which has been going on for a long time. Had a hearing test and Was told my hearing was slightly off. Saw the doctor who didn't ask any questions just looked in my ears for a few seconds. Told me there was nothing wrong with me ears and my hearing was fine. Tried to explain the pain I was having and the fact my ear had burst twice in 5 months and was getting dizzy and headaches. But wasn't listening to me. Told me that the old problem was I was slightly over weight. Was told to lose weight.

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) appointment.

I am very sorry that your treatment lacked the compassion that we expect all our patients to receive.

Please be assured that your feedback will be passed onto the Service Managers responsible for ENT . We would welcome the opportunity to investigate the issues you have raised and provide you with a response.

If you would like us to do this, please do not hesitate to contact the Complaints Department on 01865 221728 or at complaints@ouh.nhs.uk and a Complaints Co-ordinator will be happy to discuss the complaint process with you.
