Antenatal ward and labour ward I couldn't ask for anything more, positive experience and felt cared for by friendly professional staff. However very disappointed in the postnatal ward which ruined my experience. Trying to breastfeed and always drilled into me throughout pregnancy the importance etc.. when it comes down to it and you need help, staff were always too busy to spend time with me dispite asking lotsnof times leading to me formula feeding as me and baby becoming stressed. For a ward of new mums you would think you would have the staff to support them. I was then told by a non clinical member of staff I was goin home that day dispite me not even discussing how I was getting on with a midwife. Then I had to wait 9hrs to see a dr to be discharged. A dr is needed to work on the ward permanently as lots of mums waiting to go home but yet dr was being called off to labour ward several times resulting in long waits.
