"Elmstead Day Unit"

About: Colchester General Hospital

I had a lumbar epidural steroid injection last week and was very impressed by the whole experience.

All the staff I encountered were amazing and I felt confident in their ability to care for me.

My one and only little moan was that, after the procedure I was given tea and toast, which is lovely, but why white bread?

As a health establishment I would have hoped that a healthier alternative would have been offered. But that is my only negative to an otherwise very positive experience, so thank you.

Thank you for your comments which I will share with the teams involved. I will also speak to the head of facilities about your comment regarding bread. This supports us as a hospital, hearing your comments to improve the patient experience.

Should you wish to discuss any of this further then please do not hesitate to contact me.

Many kind regards
