"Excellent care"

I've always found the care at the Mill Medical Practice excellent. I've seen several different doctors over the past 5 years of being with them and all but one have been excellent--very knowledgeable but also caring. I find they listen to me very well and take my concerns seriously. The nurses, receptionists and midwifes are also wonderful.

There is a pharmacy located in the same building, which makes getting prescriptions very easy. The only criticism I have is that it is sometimes hard to get an appointment. They operate on a same-day appointment system which means you have to call at 8am to get an appointment that same day. The lines are always busy and it takes 10-20 minutes to get through, only to sometimes be told there are no appointments left. This isn't a problem for me anymore, as I work 4 days a week from home and only commute to London once per week. However, when I was commuting daily, I needed to be on the train at 7:30am, meaning if I intended on getting a doctor's appointment, I'd need to have the day off. If I then didn't get one, it was a waste of a day for nothing. I'd like to see them pre-book some appointments if you have a good reason to request this. Also, later opening hours would be great, or a half-day on Saturday.
