What I liked
The treatment my mother received during the last weeks of her life was excellent. She was admitted late on a Saturday night, x-rayed and was operated on and given a partial hip replacement a few hours later.
On Mortimer ward the staff were supportive and caring and involved her and me in all the important decisions.
What could be improved
My only criticism is that both she and I found some of the nurses' accents difficult to understand. She was a little deaf and sometimes found it impossible to make sense of what she was being told by nurses.
