I attended Medway maritime hospital today. I had an appointment at the 'nuclear medicine' department. I was expecting a rushed experience with rude staff. However, it was a pleasant surprise. When I reached the reception, the receptionist spoke to me like a person and not a nuisance. I had to have a blood test where the nurse was very nice, chatting and joking and was willing to answer all of my questions. After, I had an 'X-ray' of sorts, again the chap was very polite, sincere and didn't rush me, then a little later I saw the doctor who was excellent. Explained things to me properly, answered all my questions and spent some time discussing my issue. Overall I was impressed with the warmth, sincerity and good nature of the staff. This is probably the 1 time I've ever had a good experience at a hospital. I have a little more faith in the health system. I left feeling happy.
"surprisingly pleasant experience"
